2024 Travel Season Tryout Information

General Tryout Information

 

  • Things to bring:  Medical Release Form & SRVA membership form **MUST** have these two forms printed off and in hand to participate in tryouts - OR you may have a screen shot of said forms to show us.    Links will be provided on this page.
  • $50 Non-Refundable Tryout Fee:  this is due at the time of tryouts.  If you are unavailable on the date of tryouts and arrange a tryout date with the coaches at another time, your $50 tryout fee will be due at that date.  Payments may be made the day of tryouts by cash, credit, or debit card.
  • Ages 10 - 18 will be trying out on the same day and at the same time.  October 29th from 2-4pm at Greeneville Parks & Rec Gym.  456 East Bernard Avenue - Greeneville
  • Team Placement Options (to be determined by the staff):  National, Regional, Local, In-House -- see information below
  • Uniform package IS included in the team fee - additional items will be available for a short period of time after tryouts from the team store. 
  • Practice shirts are included in the team fees
  • All practices will be at facilities in Greeneville/Greene County - with the exception of very infrequent combined practices with neighboring clubs (Morristown, Kingsport, Bristol)
  1. NATIONAL:  Minimum 6 tournaments, 25-30 practices during average season, positional training opportunities 
    1. $1800:  Commitment fee $200, November payment $800, December payment $800
  2. REGIONAL:  Minimum 4 tournaments, 20-25 practices for average season, positional training opportunities
    1. $1400:  Commitment fee $200, November payment $600, December payment $600
  3. LOCAL:  Minimum 2 tournaments, one practice/week on average during the season
    1. $1000:  Commitment fee $200, November payment $400, December payment $400
  4. IN HOUSE:  6 dates/session - there will be a fall session and a spring session - dates and registration will be announced shortly
    1. $130/session:  includes practice shirt 
    2. Each practice date will be 1.5-2 hours in duration 

AHAVA Volleyball Club

Ahava is a Hebrew word meaning to have and to give love to.  It is our desire at Ahava Volleyball to provide our community's student athletes an opportunity to compete at high skill and knowledge levels, while learning to give love to their teammates and to the game.  We will work hard to provide high quality coaching and programming that stress the fundamentals of not only volleyball skills, but teamwork and tenacity as well.
